Riverview and South Shore are unincorporated Hillsborough County, so Development Services (HillsGovHub) issues the permits. Solar is an electrical trade permit with engineer-sealed plans; roof replacement is a separate re-roof permit with an in-progress inspection. Electrical rough-in for PV is scheduled by 11:59 PM for next-day, live or virtual. We pull both permits.
TECO serves all of Hillsborough County. Systems of 10 kW AC and under use TECO's Tier 1 interconnection with no application fee; TECO's approval can take up to 30 days after the passed inspection, then it sets the net meter. We file and track it.
