Solar installation, service and roofing in Clearwater.
Clearwater runs from the Gulf beaches to Countryside, and the roofs change with it: tile and metal near the water, architectural shingle inland, and a lot of solar from the last ten years on all of it. Fused installs solar and batteries, services every brand, replaces roofs, and does the detach and reinstall when the two meet, under one Florida contractor with the electrical, roofing and building licenses.
Part of our Pinellas County service area.

Where in and around Clearwater we work
Who issues the permit, and who pulls it
Clearwater Planning and Development (100 S Myrtle Ave) issues a standard building permit with building and electrical trades for solar, through Accela; online applications are contractors-only, and an EC, CV or GC with an electrical sub may pull it. The city targets four business days for first review (currently stretching to 15). Roof replacement is a separate permit; a permit lapses after six months without a passed inspection, so we keep inspections moving. Belleair, Safety Harbor and Dunedin each have their own department.
Duke Energy Florida serves all of Pinellas. Systems of 10 kW AC and under use Duke's Tier 1 interconnection with no application fee; the net meter is set after the local inspection passes. We file and track it.
What is specific to Clearwater
| Beach and island work | Clearwater Beach, Island Estates and Sand Key are flood-zone parcels. A roof plus solar there can trigger the FEMA substantial-improvement rule, and we check it before quoting. |
|---|---|
| Tile roofs | Harbor Oaks and the waterfront have a lot of tile. Solar on tile needs tile-hook or tile-replacement attachments and a crew that doesn't crack tiles getting there. We do both and we're licensed to repair the roof if a tile does break. |
| Countryside HOAs | Many Countryside communities have an architectural board. Florida Statute 163.04 means they can't prohibit solar, but the application is still required. We prepare it. |
| Duke Energy | Clearwater is Duke territory. Tier 1 interconnection, no application fee. |

In Florida, solar work needs an electrical or solar license and roof work needs a roofing license. Almost nobody holds both. Fused does, so when we replace a roof and reinstall the panels in Clearwater, the roofing warranty and the 25-year no-leak guarantee on the attachments come from the same company.

Clearwater solar and roofing, answered plainly
Do you install solar on tile roofs in Clearwater?
Yes. Tile needs tile-hook or tile-replacement attachments and careful foot traffic. Fused installs on tile regularly and, because we hold the roofing license, we can repair any tile the work disturbs under the same contract.
Who pulls the solar permit in Clearwater?
A licensed EC or CV contractor, or a GC with an electrical sub. Fused holds electrical license EC13014750 and pulls the standard building permit with building and electrical trades from Clearwater Planning and Development.
Can you replace my roof and reinstall my solar in Clearwater?
Yes. Fused holds roofing license CCC1331058 and electrical license EC13014750, so the roof and the detach and reinstall are one contract. Every reinstall gets new flashed attachments and a 25-year no-leak guarantee.
Do you service solar in Clearwater that another company installed?
Yes, any brand, any installer, including leased systems. $395 on-site diagnostic with a written report.
