The solar contractor that also holds the roofing license.

Most solar problems end up being roof problems, and most roof problems around solar end up being nobody's problem. Fused is licensed for electrical, roofing and building work, so the same company owns the whole job: the panels, the wiring and the penetrations through your roof.

The responsibility gap

When the roof leaks under a solar array, who do you call?

A solar company says the roofer did it. The roofer says the solar company did it. The homeowner pays for the inspection to find out, and sometimes for the repair too. The gap exists because in Florida, solar work needs an electrical or solar license and roof work needs a roofing license, and almost nobody holds both.

We hold both. If a penetration we made leaks, that is our roof problem and our solar problem, and we fix it.

I already have solar

A service company first. We work on systems we did not install.

Two service trucks, certified technicians, and factory authorization from the brands on most Tampa Bay roofs. We monitor for error messages, not daily production, and we quote repairs after a diagnosis, not before.

Solar detach and reinstall for a new roof

Panels off before your roofer arrives, back on when they leave. Every reinstall gets new flashed attachments with a 25-year no-leak guarantee, a permit, and a photo report. Rails are reused unless they no longer meet code.

Diagnostics and repair

Inverter and microinverter faults, failed optimizers, rapid shutdown errors, arc-fault trips, roof leaks around solar attachments. Leased systems too; the leasing company usually reimburses you.

Book a diagnostic →

Annual maintenance plans

Inspection, cleaning and documentation once a year, priced by panel count alone. Plan members get priority scheduling and 20% off repair labor and parts.

Batteries, with or without solar

Tesla Powerwall 3 and FranklinWH aPower, installed and serviced. Whole-home backup that cycles on solar every day instead of a generator that sits and rusts.

EV chargers and panel upgrades

Level 2 chargers, SPAN smart panels, main panel upgrades, and the electrical work solar often exposes. Quoted after a site visit, no guesswork.

HERS bill review

A certified HERS rater reads your utility bill and your system data before anyone sells you anything. Sometimes the answer is a repair, not more panels.

How the review works →
How a Fused project runs

From signed contract to permission to operate

Design and contract

Equipment you chose, priced. Contract signed before the site visit, so the visit confirms, it does not sell.

Permit and engineering

Permitting is handled in-house by our own coordinator. Only the engineer's stamp is outsourced.

Installation and inspection

Our own W-2 crew installs on K2 racking with new flashed attachments. County inspection scheduled by us.

Permission to operate

Utility interconnection submitted and tracked until the meter is swapped and the system is live. Average 6 to 8 weeks from signing.

I want solar

Designed by the company that will still be here to service it.

Solar installers that sell and disappear are the reason our service trucks stay busy. We design for the service life, not the sale: panels, inverter and battery from manufacturers we are certified to repair, mounted on a roof we are licensed to open and close.

  • Certified with Enphase, Tesla, SolarEdge, Generac, Fronius and SMA
  • GAF Certified Plus roofing contractor for roof-and-solar projects
  • 10-year workmanship warranty on installations
  • Financing through Climate First Bank, or pay as you go
HERS bill review

What a rater looks at before recommending a system size

  • 12 months of utility history, by month, not the annual average
  • Rate schedule and net-metering terms for your utility (TECO, Duke, FPL)
  • Existing solar production data, if you already have a system
  • Loads that are about to change: EV, pool pump, heat pump, addition

Duane Wright, our general manager, is a certified HERS rater (Levels 1 to 3) trained in blower-door testing. The review is free and comes with a written recommendation you can take anywhere.

For roofing companies

Become a Verified Solar-Safe Roofer.

Roofers who send their solar detach and reinstall work to us earn the Solar-Safe Roofer badge for their website, proposals and trucks. Their customers get a licensed electrical contractor on the solar, a permit on every job, all new roof attachments, a photo report and a 25-year no-leak warranty on the roof penetrations. We never quote or sell a roof to a homeowner a badge holder brings in.
