A Tesla Wall Connector is a straightforward piece of hardware. What determines whether your install goes smoothly is everything behind it: whether your panel has capacity for a 60-amp circuit, how far the run is from the panel to the garage, what the wire has to pass through to get there, and whether the whole thing passes inspection the first time.
That's electrical work, and in Florida it requires a licensed electrical contractor. We hold that license in-house — EC13014750 — along with roofing and building. When a job needs a panel upgrade or a service change to support the charger, we do that too, under the same contract and the same permit.

Adds a built-in J1772 adapter, so it charges Tesla vehicles and non-Tesla EVs from the same unit. Worth the difference if you have a mixed-brand household, if you're likely to change vehicles, or if you want the equipment to still be useful to a future buyer of the house.

1. Load calculation: Before anything gets ordered, we calculate whether your existing electrical service can carry a charger alongside everything else in the house. A Wall Connector on a 60-amp circuit is a significant load, and a lot of Tampa Bay homes — particularly anything built before the 1990s — are running 100- or 150-amp service that's already close to full.
2. Panel and circuit: We install a dedicated circuit sized for the connector, run in conduit or appropriately rated cable, terminated in your panel with the correct breaker. If the panel has no room or the service is undersized, we handle the upgrade rather than sending you to a second contractor.
3. Permit and inspection: EV charger installations require a permit and an inspection in every jurisdiction we work in. We pull it, schedule it, and meet the inspector. You don't chase anything.
4. Commissioning: We energize the unit, connect it to Wi-Fi, confirm it's communicating, and verify it's delivering the amperage the circuit is rated for before we leave.
This is the conversation a lot of homeowners don't get until the installer is already standing in the garage.
Adding a 60-amp EV circuit to a panel that's already near capacity isn't something to work around with a tandem breaker and optimism. It needs either a panel upgrade, a service upgrade, or load management.
